Transfer means sending a cryptocurrency or NFT from one public key address to another. This can be done manually, where you yourself initiate the transaction between two addresses, or automatically, such as through a smart contract. An example of an automatic transfer is when a buyer sends the agreed amount of ETH to the owner of an NFT, after which the NFT is automatically transferred to the buyer.
